Reels for a basketball podcast
7 Eurolygos dienos
For half a year I created Instagram reels for a Lithuanian basketball podcast, turning long episodes into short clips that work on a phone screen.
- Cutting the strongest moments from full podcast episodes
- B-roll cutaways from games and press moments
- Word-by-word animated subtitles in Lithuanian
- Sponsor branding built into every reel
Editor first, motion designer by obsession.
I've been editing video for about three years and moved into motion graphics over the last six months. I'm self-taught in DaVinci Resolve and Fusion, and I love figuring out how an effect is built, frame by frame.
Next to my studies in Communication & Multimedia Design at NHL Stenden, I run airidas.creates on Instagram, where I share my work and teach other DaVinci users how to make interesting effects.
For six months I also edited Instagram reels for 7 Eurolygos dienos, a Lithuanian basketball podcast.
Most studios work in After Effects, and I know it's the industry standard, so I'm ready to learn it. Keyframes, easing, timing and compositing work the same way in Fusion, so I'm not starting from zero. I'd also love to get into 3D with Cinema 4D or Blender.
What I care about most is learning from people who are better than me. I take feedback well, I'm quick to try things, and I'm happy to start with the small jobs.
Originally from Lithuania, now based in Leeuwarden.
